Entering the zone file editor

The editor can be launched to ways: on www.dns-master.ru and on www.nic.ru

1. Entering the editor at www.dns-master.ru server

1.1. Go to the www.dns-master.ru server at http://www.dns-master.ru and click on the "start editing" link and immediately go to https://www.nic.ru/login/dns-master/

1.2. In the opened window:

  • Enter the number of your agreement with RU-CENTER or the number of your form (if it is under RU-CENTER's partner's management) in the "Contract number" field;
  • Enter the password;
  • Choose the password's type (administrative or technical);
  • Press the "Log in" button.

1.3. A list of first ten domains, for which you ordered the Primary-Standard services and zone files of which are available for editing, is displayed on the first page of the zone editor, and there is also a search window, which will make finding a domain easier for you.

  • Find the domain name for which you want to edit a zone file;
  • Click on the "Edit" link located on the right from the chosen domain name;
  • You will find yourself on the next page of the editor, where the chosen zone file is edited.

2. Entering the editor at www.nic.ru server

2.1. Go to the www.nic.ru server and click on the "Manage your account" link.

In the opened window:

  • Enter the number of your agreement with RU-CENTER or the number of your form, if it is under RU-CENTER's partner's management in the "Contract number" field;
  • Enter the password;
  • Choose the password's type (administrative or technical);
  • Press the "Log in" button.

2.2. In the "Main menu" choose the "Services" item -> "DNS-master" and you will find yourself on the first page of the zone file editor with the list of domains, zone files of which are available for editing;

2.3. You can also choose the "Services" item -> "Review and update data" in the "Main menu" and then:

  • Find the Primary-Standard service for the corresponding domain;
  • Click on the 'Edit the zone file" link next to the domain name;
  • You will find yourself on the page of the editor, where the chosen zone file is edited.
